The hike of the Mills Valley is a beautiful historical walk in the valley between Scala and Amalfi.
There you can find ruins of paper mills of the 14th century and admire a prehistoric fern called woodwardia radicans.
The walk is 3km long and the hike takes about 4 hours.
The meeting point is in Pontone (Scala). You can reach Pontone by public or private transportation.
At the end of the tour we can admire the beautiful lemon yards of Amalfi and there is a possibility to visit the Paper Museum (an ancient paper mill that has been converted into a museum) where you can experience how to create paper as it was made in the past.
After the Museum, there’s a urban walk into the historical town of Amalfi and a stop to taste sfogliatella or delizia the famous pastries of the Amalfi Coast and Naples.
