Positano to Ravello : how to move
Ravello is one of the most suggestive destinations of the entire Amalfi Coast. It is less known than Amalfi and also other places in the area, without this being a disadvantage.
In fact, in Ravello you can continue to enjoy a quiet holiday, despite the importance of many events that take place right here and you can experience the Amalfi Coast without the tourist hassle that affects other centers especially in another season.
How is far Ravello from Positano
From Positano to Ravello the distance is of about 25 km via SS163. In between, there are incredible beautiful towns such as Praiano, Conca dei Marini and Amalfi, the city that named the entire coast in the south of Naples.
Ravello is located slightly inland, with the part of the coast occupied by the hamlets of San Cosma and Castiglione. Getting there is not easy since the town is right between Minori and Amalfi.
You can arrive by car from the North, taking the exit for Vietri Sul Mare and then going up along the Cetara-Maiori-Minori route.
You can also arrive by car from the South, always taking the Vietri exit and then going up the same route
How to get to Ravello from Positano
There are several ways to choose among from Positano to Ravello. You could opt for a SITA bus, although especially during the high season there are several problems related to this choice.
First, the queue is endless and you risk to miss several buses before being able to get one. Second, comfort is not a keyword.
The best way (cheaper than you expect) is to book in advance a private transfer. A professional driver will pick you up wherever you want and will drop you safely to your destination.
